Joining the team at Parse Biosciences has been an incredibly meaningful step in my professional journey. The opportunity to support and enable cutting-edge bioscience research is exciting on its own, but for me, this mission is deeply personal.

A few short years ago, I was diagnosed with cancer—a moment that changed everything. I quickly went from simply working in companies enabling researchers to unlock genomic discoveries, to being a patient in need of effective diagnosis and treatment. That experience gave me a profound appreciation for the work of scientists and clinicians on the front lines of discovery, and it inspired my enduring passion for advancing the tools and technologies that help them succeed. Because no matter how fast research goes, how fast you try to communicate it to the world through your profession, it is never fast enough when your life depends on it.

At Parse, I get to be part of a team that is removing barriers to single cell genomics and making it possible for more researchers to pursue bold questions about human health, disease, and biology. Seeing how our technology empowers scientists to uncover new insights and accelerate breakthroughs is both inspiring and humbling.

Luckily, I’m healthy today thanks to the doctors who worked on my case, and I’m thrilled to contribute to a company whose mission resonates so strongly with my personal values.

I believe that by equipping researchers with the right tools, we can drive transformative progress—and I’m grateful to be part of that effort every day.
